5, the Saturday after Shadowkeep, Bungie will launch the Garden of Salvation raid, and the seasonal Vex Offensive event. Players don’t know much about about either of these activities, although narratively speaking it seems the Vex from the Black Garden have come to invade the moon. It’s likely players will begin to understand why that is through the Shadowkeep campaign. It’s worth noting that the raid is purely for Shadowkeep players, while the Vex Offensive requires the Season of the Undying Pass (included with Shadowkeep, but also purchasable on its own).On the following Tuesday, Oct.
8, Shadowkeep players can activate the Hero or Legend difficulties for the mysterious Nightmare Hunts mode. 15, a week later, Bungie will launch the Master difficulty for Nightmare Hunts. The first Iron Banner of Season 8 will also start Tuesday, Oct.

The final offensive is the last event listed on the calendar, although Bungie could reveal more at a later date.Bungie listed the Shadowkeep calendar as October to December, despite there being no December dates. It’s unclear if Shadowkeep’s delay pushed the release for Season 9 into 2020, or if players should expect it in December like Destiny 2: Black Armory last year. Image: BungieIn terms of weapon changes, Bungie offered a preview of the upcoming patch notes. The biggest change is actually to enemy combatant health.
Minor enemies currently take double the precision hit damage as other enemy types. With Shadowkeep, Bungie will remove this bonus, making it harder to one-shot enemies with a single headshot. To compensate, Bungie is increasing the base damage of several weapon types:. Auto rifles. Bows.
Hand cannons. Machine guns.
Pulse rifles. Scout rifles. Sidearms. Sniper rifles. Submachine gunsThese changes should impact weapons with high precision damage more than others, like bows and scout rifles.
It’s unclear if these kinds of weapons can still one-shot-kill a Minor enemy, but the reduced precision damage for other weapons should improve their viability.Bungie will also alter a few Exotics on Oct. 1, including:. Sweet Business (damage, magazine capacity, perk improvements). Graviton Lance (damage). Sunshot (magazine capacity).
Vigilance Wing (damage). Crimson (damage, bug fix). Merciless (bug fix). Ace of Spades (nerfed perk).
Lumina (quality of life). The Colony (perk improvement)Bungie will release and Destiny 2: New Light for, PC, and on Oct. The studio will release the versions sometime later this year.
Destiny 2: New Light has been out for most of this week. There were some hiccups along the way, given Bungie released Shadowkeep on the same day and moved their product over to Steam. They had a handful of errors and several issues when it released, but it looks like things have calmed down. The servers are steadily up, and players have been zipping through the latest pieces of content. With players starting to get a stronger light level, they want to know when they can try their hand at the first raid.
When Does The New Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Raid Release?
While we don’t know too many details about the Shadowkeep’s raid, Garden of Salvation, we do know it’s going to release on Oct. 5. Players won’t have to wait too long to try their hand at taking down the several challenges awaiting them behind the tremendously terrifying gate. It’s going to release on Oct. 5 at 10 am PST. When it goes live, players from all over the world are going to be rushing towards it to see if they can succeed in any way and make a dent in it to be the first to make to complete.
Do you think you’re ready? Bungie believes players need to be at least light level 920 before they can enter it. Having played a handful of Bungie’s raids, this level is going to be a decent mark, but you’re going to want to aim higher. Realistically, you’re going to want to try for light level 930 or 935 to keep your head above water. However, if your teammates are willing to go into it with you at 920, there’s no stopping them.
What are the rewards for doing it? Well, Destiny 2 is all about loot. The latest raid is going to be another exclusive chance for players to get their hands on the new armor and weapons available in the game. Check out the respective armors for each class below.
At this time, beyond knowing the Vex are involved, and you can see the armor looks vaguely Vex-like, we don’t know too much. When the gates open on Oct. 5 at 10 am PST, you can expect plenty of players are going to jump in and trying their hand at it. The race is going to go live then, and we’ll find out who’s going to be the first to complete it sometime soon. It could take the whole weekend.
Check out the trailer for the raid below, and good luck in Destiny 2’s expansion, Shadowkeep, Guardians.
